Numismatics
The numismatic sub-collection (signature N, 367 items as of 12/2022) contains circulated and commemorative coins from the period of the Austrian monarchy (both gold and crown currency), the period of the First Republic and the post-war period. The period 1918-1938 is represented mainly by commemorative medals (Ag and Au), ducat coinage and plaquettes. The entire state production of commemorative coins of the post-war period (1945-1953) is included in the collection. The sub-collection also contains several commemorative medals from industrial exhibitions and plaques issued for significant events. The collection was created from individual donations, with a larger collection donated by the Czech State Savings Bank in 1952.
